Pastor’s Message for Monday, March 23, 2020

Hi, everyone!

It was such a blessing to worship ‘together’ yesterday!! For everyone who was able to join us online at 10:00, I’m so glad you were able to do so. If you were not able to do so, you can still participate in the worship experience by going to www.cedarvilleumc.org and clicking on the blue button on the right that is listed as “Sunday Services Replay for Sunday, March 22, 2020.” May you be richly blessed by it!Today’s word of encouragement comes from Philippians 4:6-7 in The Message, by Eugene Peterson:

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:6-7 The Msg.

Lord, the next time I catch myself fretting or worrying help me to remember to shape these worries into prayers and praise. Thank You, Lord Jesus, that as I turn to You and do this, worry will be displaced and I will experience your peace.

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! -2Cor 9:15

May the peace of God, which exceeds anything we can understand, guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
